Pursuant to § 10 of the Municipal Home Rule Law and Article 7 of the Village Law, the Village Board of the Village of Lowville hereby provides for the enforcement of this chapter, as originally adopted by the Planning Board on July 23, 1984, and approved by the Village Board on August 7, 1984, and as amended from time to time, by enacting the following penalty provisions:
A. 
Any person, firm or corporation who commits an offense against, disobeys, neglects or refuses to comply with or resist the enforcement of any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be deemed guilty of a violation, punishable by a fine of not more than $250 or imprisonment not to exceed 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each week an offense is continued shall be deemed a separate violation of this chapter.

B. 
In addition to the penalties provided above, the Village Board may also maintain an action or proceeding in the name of the Village in a Court of competent jurisdiction to compel compliance with or to restrain by injunction the violation of this chapter.
