Any person, upon entering an omnibus operated by the City of Kingston, shall deposit in the proper receptacle therefor a sum as set forth in the fee schedule to be established by resolution of the Common Council of this City[1] or a duly issued token for a single, continuous trip on said vehicle within the City of Kingston for a distance not greater than one round trip, from point of origination to point of origination, except that any person on an omnibus operating over one bus route may, at a duly designated transfer stop for such vehicle, transfer or alight from such omnibus of origination and enter onto the next available omnibus operated over another bus route upon the payment of an additional sum as set forth in the fee schedule to be established by resolution of the Common Council of this City[2], provided that the person so changing vehicles shall present to the operator of the vehicle transferred to a duly issued transfer voucher; and provided, further, that there shall be only one such transfer for each fare paid; and provided, still further, that such transferred trip shall not be extended for a distance greater than one round trip from point of transfer to point of transfer, and provided that said transfer is made within one hour from the time the rider alighted from the original bus boarded.

The Comptroller of the City of Kingston is hereby authorized to sell, during regular office hours, three tokens for a sum as set forth in the fee schedule to be established by resolution of the Common Council of this City[1], such tokens to be used in lieu of actual currency of the United States on omnibuses operated by the City of Kingston.
