A. 
Authority. This article is adopted pursuant to the provisions of the New York State Municipal Home Rule Law § 10, Subdivision 1(ii)d(3), which grants to local governments the authority to enact local laws that supersede provisions of the Town Law of the State of New York.
B. 
Supersession of statute. This article recognizes that § 64(1-a) of the Town Law of the State of New York sets forth the maximum amount of petty cash funds which may be allocated to Town offices. This section shall supersede the aforementioned section of Town Law, insofar as it is inconsistent with such section.
C. 
Establishment of increased petty cash fund. A petty cash fund in the amount of $5,500 shall be established for use in the Town of North Hempstead Department of Parks and Recreation, Division at Harbor Links Golf Course. Said amount shall be apportioned as follows:
(1) 
Petty cash: $500.
(2) 
Change bank purposes: $5,000.
