[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Derry 12-2-1974 by Ord. No. 453 (Ch. I, Part 1, Sections 3 through 5, of the 1975 Code of Ordinances). Amendments noted where applicable.]
There is hereby established in the Borough of Derry the position of Independent Auditor for the Borough of Derry.[1]

Editor's Note: Section 4 of this ordinance abolished the office of elected Borough auditor as of the effective date of the ordinance.
The position of Independent Auditor created and established by this chapter shall be filled by a resolution of the Borough Council appointing a certified public accountant registered in Pennsylvania or a firm of certified public accountants registered in Pennsylvania.

The Independent Auditor so appointed shall make an independent examination of the accounting records of the Borough of Derry for each fiscal year and shall also perform the other duties and exercise the powers conferred by Subsection (k) of Article XI of the Borough Code, as amended and supplemented.[1]
