There is established by this chapter and any
amendments thereto a code for the government of the City of Meriden,
a political subdivision of the State of Connecticut, pursuant to its
Charter, drawn and approved as provided by the Court of Common Council
July 5, 1977, and approved by the voters November 8, 1977, which code
shall be known and referred to as the "Administrative Code" and which
shall be the rules, the regulations prescribing duties of officials
and employees, the system of office and the management of the offices,
departments and institutions of the City of Meriden.

This Administrative Code shall take effect immediately,
unless a later date is indicated by said Charter.
