A.
There shall be a Department of Emergency Communications,
which shall be responsible for the management of all emergency communication
operations and which shall have such other duties as may be assigned
by statute, the Charter, or the Code or as may be approved by the
City Council from time to time, or as may be assigned to it by the
City Manager.
B.
The Department shall be headed by the Director of
Emergency Communications, who shall be appointed by, serve at the
pleasure of and may be removed by the City Manager in accordance with
the provisions of the Charter and this Code.
