No person shall injure, deface or soil any public
or private building, fence or enclosure in the City or trespass upon
any garden or yard or public or private enclosure therein.
No person shall fly a kite in the City at an
altitude greater than 500 feet.
It shall be unlawful for any person maliciously
to cut, break, injure, destroy or deface any streetlight, lamp, lantern,
post or frame in the City or to light any such light without proper
authority or to extinguish the same or in any way to interfere with
or meddle with the proper use or management of the public lighting
system.
Except as otherwise provided by the General
Statutes, all liquor package stores shall close on Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday at 8:00 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday at
9:00 p.m.
Except as otherwise provided by the General
Statutes, the sale of alcoholic liquor with meals shall be lawful
in the City on Sunday, between the hours of 12:00 noon and 9:00 p.m.,
in hotels, restaurants and clubs.
No person shall loiter upon the steps or other
projection of any church, hotel, hall or public building or in any
hall, space or way leading thereto so as to obstruct free passage
into and out of the same, and no person shall loiter against any fence
or wall surrounding or adjoining any such building.
No person not a member of the Police Department
of the City shall have in his possession or blow upon, whistle or
use in any manner the whistle or call known as the "bean police call."
It shall be unlawful for any person to resist,
hinder, obstruct, vilify or abuse any officer or employee of the City
in the lawful discharge of his duties.
The owner of any property through which a stream
flows in the City shall keep such watercourse free of weeds or other
obstruction.

It shall be unlawful for any person, with the
exception of City employees or their agents or assigns in the performance
of their duties, to operate any snowmobile, municipally owned golf
cart, motorcycle, all-terrain vehicle or motor vehicle on any City-owned
property within or outside the territorial limits of the City of Meriden,
except in parks on trails or routes as designated by the Department
of Parks and Recreation of the City of Meriden.
