By authority of resolution by the Village Board of Trustees
adopted pursuant to the provisions of Village Law §§ 7-728,
7-730 and 7-732 of the Consolidated Laws of New York, the Planning
Board of the Village of Medina is vested with the power and authority
to approve plats for subdivisions within the incorporated area of
the Village.
The purpose of these regulations shall be to provide rules,
regulations and standards to guide land subdivision in the Village
of Medina, in order to promote the public health, safety, convenience
and general welfare of the Village and to accomplish the objectives
of the Comprehensive Plan. It shall be administered to ensure the
orderly growth and development, the conservation, protection and proper
use of land and adequate provision for circulation, utilities and
services and to ensure that land used for building purposes shall
be without danger to health or peril from fire, flood or other menace
and that provision is made for adequate light and air, fire protection,
recreation areas and other amenities.
Should any of these rules and regulations conflict or be inconsistent
with any provision of the Village Law, such provisions of the Village
Law shall apply.
