The Mayor and Council note that, in order for fire suppression
and rescue activities to be conducted adequately, effectively and
safely, members of the Red Bank Fire Department need to have sufficient
knowledge and competence; that continuing education of Department
members better prepares the members for the changing demands of firefighting
and rescue operations, promotes teamwork, and encourages safety; that
training must be appropriate to the needs of the Department and must
be readily available to Department members.
