[Article 31, voted in the affirmative 3-14-1950 by the
Annual Town Meeting, read in the warrant as follows: "To see if the
Town will vote to elect the Trustees of the Trust Funds, the Budget
Committee, the Trustees of the Public Library and the Trustees of
various cemeteries on the same secret written ballot as is used for
electing a selectman, the Town Clerk, Town Treasurer, Tax Collector
and Public Works Director.[1] Candidates shall file with the town clerk in the same
manner as for Selectman; this article to take effect at the annual
town meeting in 1951 and at all subsequent Town Meetings until rescinded
by a vote of the Town at an annual Town Meeting."

Prior to the vote, Article 31 was amended to add the phrase
"Members at large" before the phrase "Budget Committee," to add the
word "and" after the phrase "Budget Committee" and to delete the phrases
"and the Trustees of the various cemeteries" and "Town Clerk."]
