There is hereby created an Advisory Committee which shall be
known as the "Borough of Clayton Historic Advisory Committee," hereinafter
called the "Historic Advisory Committee."
The Historic Advisory Committee shall submit an annual report
to the Borough Council not later than the first day of December of
each year covering the activities and work of the Advisory Committee
and from time to time shall submit such report and recommendations
as may be necessary to fulfill the purposes of this chapter.
The members of the Historic Advisory Committee, including ex
officio and subcommittee members, shall receive no compensation for
their services as members thereof but may be reimbursed for reasonable
and necessary expenses, subject to appropriations made available therefor,
but only upon request to and approval by the Borough Council.
This chapter shall be deemed an exercise of the powers of the
Borough of Clayton to protect and preserve historical documents, records,
relics, landmarks and points of interest located within the Borough
of Clayton and is not intended and shall not be deemed to impair the
powers of the Borough Council, Planning Board, or any other public
corporation.
