This chapter shall be known and may be cited and referred to as the "Official Address Map of the Borough of Clayton."
The purpose of this chapter is to adopt an official Address Map of the Borough of Clayton establishing and identifying all street names, house numbers and 911 emergency addresses in the Borough of Clayton in order to assist the general public and emergency services, public and private, in identifying any property in case of emergency or otherwise as part of the 911 Emergency System.
The attached Address Map shall be incorporated in and made a part of this chapter and shall become the Official Address Map of the Borough of Clayton.[2]

All residential, commercial, industrial or other buildings existing or to be placed or erected within the Borough of Clayton shall be subject to this chapter, and building owners and/or tenants shall take any and all action necessary to comply with this chapter.

The Emergency Management Coordinator shall be the person responsible for the enforcement and implementation of the Address Map, including but not limited to the notification of and the compliance by all residential, commercial, industrial or other building owners and/or tenants to conform their street names, mailing addresses and 911 emergency addresses in accordance with the Official Address Map.
Any person, partnership or corporation violating any provision of this chapter shall be notified of the violation and be given three months to correct, followed by a second warning of an additional three months to correct, followed by punishment of a fine not to exceed $200.
