A. 
Any person who operates a vehicle on a snow emergency route during a snow emergency without the required snow tires or chains shall be deemed guilty of a violation and be liable for a fine of not more than $250.
B. 
Any person, firm, association, partnership or corporation who violates § 49-7 of this chapter shall be punishable by a mandatory fine of $50 for a first offense and by a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $200 for a second or subsequent offense. Each day's continued violation shall be a separate, additional violation of this chapter.
C. 
Any person, firm, association, partnership or corporation who violates § 49-8 of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine of not less than $50 and not more than $350 or by imprisonment not exceeding five days, or by both. Each day's continued violation shall be a separate, additional violation of this chapter.

D. 
The violation of any other provisions of this chapter shall constitute a violation of § 1200 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York and shall be punishable as provided in Article 45 thereof.
If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section or part of this chapter shall be adjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remainder thereof, but shall be confined in its operation to the clause, sentence, paragraph, section or part thereof directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered.
