As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
DRIVEWAY or PARKING AREA
As defined in § 135-35 of the 1987 Village Code[1]
REPAIR
Any work done on an automobile for its repair and or maintenance.
VEHICLE
Any vehicle, commercial and noncommercial, owned by the premises owner or member or lessee of said premises' household.

Repair of a vehicle is prohibited unless performed on the driveway or parking area on the premises owned by the vehicle's owner or a lessee of said premises.
Repair or maintenance of any vehicle may not be performed on any public street, sidewalk or highway with the Village of South Floral Park.
Any person committing an offense against any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a violation pursuant to the Penal Law of the State of New York, punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. The continuation of an offense against the provisions of this chapter shall constitute, for each day the offense is continued, a separate and distinct offense hereunder.
