Town of Frankfort, NY Chapter 8 Disposition of County Tax Revenues

§ 8-1 Purpose.

This chapter is enacted to provide for the disposition of revenues from taxes imposed by the County of Herkimer so that such revenue shall be paid directly to the Town of Frankfort to be used for any lawful town purpose.

§ 8-2 Payment of sales tax revenue directly to town.

Section 1262 of the Tax Law authorizes counties to set aside a portion of their sales tax revenues for cities, towns and villages; pursuant to this section, the Town of Frankfort is providing that the amounts paid to the town as a portion of the sales tax revenue shall be paid directly to the Town of Frankfort to be used for any lawful town purpose.

§ 8-3 Taxes affected.

This chapter will affect sales tax revenue which was set aside by the County of Herkimer for the Town of Frankfort, pursuant to law.
