There is hereby established, in the Department of Revenue and Finance, a Division of Constituent Services, which shall be responsible for the centralization of all citizens’ and organizations’ complaints and inquiries on all aspects of Town services and operations to enhance citizen confidence in government by expediting the handling of complaints and inquiries in coordination with the various departments of Town government. Complaints and inquiries to be coordinated through the Division of Constituent Services will include, but are not limited to, the handling of counseling and referrals for social services, tenant assistance and education, housing and employment inquiries, taxi and livery complaints, quality-of-life issues, violations of Town codes and general inquiries of Town services available.
There shall be created three positions in the Department of Revenue and Finance: one constituent services administrator, who shall supervise the handling of all issues addressed in this section; one assistant to the administrator, who shall take direction from the administrator with regard to issues pertaining to this section; and one constituent attorney, who shall also take direction from the administrator related to the issues addressed herein.
The constituent attorney herein has the power to delegate to any attorney he finds fit, work related to this section of the Town Code, on a pro bono basis
