WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide emergency-aid facilities to motorists, and same is in the interests of the public health, safety and welfare of the community;
Now therefore, be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of the Town of West New York, County of Hudson, State of New Jersey, as follows:
All automobile service facilities, including gas stations, that have an operating air pump on the exterior of their premises shall make same available to all users without charge seven days a week during the hours the premises are open for business.
Any violation of this article shall be subject to penalties set forth in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article I.
Upon passage of this article, the Town Clerk or other designated official shall forward a copy of this article to each automobile service facility located within the Town of West New York. This shall be forwarded by regular mail.
