Streets that are obviously in alignment with others already
existing and named shall bear the name of the existing streets. Before
the final plat of the subdivision is approved, the subdivision shall
submit to the City Planning and Zoning Commission a statement from
the local postmaster approving the names of the proposed streets.

Before the final plat of the subdivision is approved, the subdivider
shall present a signed statement that he/she has checked the existing
subdivision names of record in the Scott and New Madrid County Recorder's
office and that there will be no duplication of names.
