A. 
Immediate Notice Of Accident. The driver or operator of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to or death of any person or property damage shall:
1. 
Immediately give notice of such accident to the Police Department by telephone or by reporting in person to the nearest Police station if such accident occurs within the City upon any public or private street, highway or parking lot generally open for public use, and
2. 
Shall not leave the place of the accident or shall not fail to return upon giving notice as set out in (1) above without giving his or her name, residence address, and exhibiting his or her motor vehicle registration, driver's license and insurance identification to:
a. 
Any other persons involved in the accident, and
b. 
To an officer of the City's Police Department.
B. 
When Driver Unable to Report.
1. 
Whenever the driver of a vehicle is physically incapable of giving immediate notice of an accident as required in Subsection (A) of this Section and there was another occupant in the vehicle at the time of the accident capable of doing so, such occupant shall give, or cause to be given, the notice not given by the driver.
2. 
Whenever the driver is physically incapable of making a written report of an accident as required in Subsection (A) of this Section and such driver is not the owner of the vehicle, then the owner of the vehicle involved in such accident shall within five (5) days after the accident make such report not made by the driver.
