In addition to inspections required by Section
505.100, the Building Commissioner shall make any other inspections of any construction work to ascertain compliance with the provisions of the Building Code and other laws which are enforced by the Building Department. These inspections may, among others, include zoning requirements, soil, footings, forms, foundations, backfill, masonry, floors and floor slabs, etc., all of which may or may not be included in inspections required by Section
505.100.

A. The
fee to be paid for permits as provided in this Article shall be fifty
dollars ($50.00) for the first (1st) five thousand dollars ($5,000.00)
or fraction thereof of the estimated cost of construction, alteration,
addition, repair, moving, removal and/or demolition of buildings or
structures; and five dollars ($5.00) for each additional one thousand
dollars ($1,000.00) or fraction thereof of estimated cost.
B. The
fee to be paid for inspection shall be twenty dollars ($20.00) for
the first (1st) five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) or fraction thereof
of estimated cost, and ten dollars ($10.00) for each additional five
thousand dollars ($5,000.00) or fraction thereof of estimated cost;
except, for permits issued for construction or erection of fences
shall be twenty dollars ($20.00); for permits issued for removal and
demolition of single-family dwelling units shall be fifty dollars
($50.00); and for removal and demolition of any other structure shall
be fifty dollars ($50.00) for the first (1st) five thousand dollars
($5,000.00) or fraction thereof of estimated cost of demolition and
five dollars ($5.00) for each additional one thousand dollars ($1,000.00)
or fraction thereof of the estimated cost of demolition; permits issued
to erect a ramp to provide an accessible entrance to a home is twenty
dollars ($20.00).

C. Double Fee. Where any work for which a permit is required
by this Code is started, or proceeded with, prior to obtaining said
permit, the total normal fees applicable shall be doubled, but payment
of said double fee shall not relieve any person from fully complying
with the requirements of this Code nor relieve such person from other
penalties prescribed herein.

A. Each
contractor or builder doing work in the City shall pay a license fee
of fifty dollars ($50.00) per year to the City.
B. The
license or deposit shall not apply to individuals doing their own
work on property owned by them.
C. The
license may be revoked for flagrant violation of the building rules
and regulations.

A. All
provisions of the laws and regulations of the State, and of legally
adopted rules of local fire, health and labor officials in respect
to the operation equipment, housekeeping, fire protection, handling
and storage of flammable materials, liquids and gases, and the maintenance
of safe and sanitary conditions of use and occupancy in all buildings
shall be strictly enforced by the administrative officials to whom
such authority is delegated.
B. Whenever
inspection by any authorized enforcement officer discloses any violations
of laws, he/she shall immediately notify the administrative officer
having jurisdiction of the violation.
