The APWA Standard Specifications and Design Criteria are hereby enacted and made a part of the Chapter by reference.

A. 
To the extent any provision of this Zoning Code is inconsistent with the Platte City Subdivision Regulations, this Zoning Code shall govern.
B. 
To the extent any provision of this Zoning Code is inconsistent with any codes adopted with respect to the construction or improvement of buildings or the improvement of property by the City, then this Zoning Code shall govern.
C. 
To the extent any provision of this Zoning Code is inconsistent with any other ordinance of the City of Platte City, the more restrictive shall govern.

The following are prohibited within the City limits of Platte City:
Outdoor toilets. No outdoor toilets shall be used except during the period of construction of such house or other building or for special fairs or community events as the zoning enforcement person shall determine.

The applicable standards for the construction of streets within the City limits of Platte City shall be as set forth in Division II Construction and Material Specs, Grading and Site Preparation, Paving, Incidental Construction and Seeding and Sodding (APWA Specs Section 2000 through 2400 — 1981).

Tool sheds as defined by this Code are not required to be on a concrete pad and may be set on runners for portability. Any accessory building over one hundred twenty (120) square feet of floor space and up through and including three hundred (300) square feet of floor space not constructed on footings in compliance with the Building Code may be constructed on a concrete pad consisting of not less than four (4) inches of concrete with six (6) by six (6) by ten (10) wire mesh or No. 4-40 grade rebar installed thirty-six (36) inches on center as reinforcement. Any accessory building over three hundred (300) square feet must be set on footings in compliance with the Building Code and must have a concrete floor installed which meets the specifications of the Building Code for concrete floors.
