The Mayor shall appoint, subject to the approval of the Municipal Council, a Workers' Compensation Agent who shall act as agent of the City with regard to matters under the jurisdiction of the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents and who shall maintain a working knowledge of all injuries to municipal employees, compensation, and medical payments. The annual stipend shall be at least $500 or as negotiated.
The Mayor shall appoint, subject to the approval of the Municipal Council, a Workers' Compensation Representative who shall maintain proper records of injuries to municipal employees, compensation and medical payments and who shall serve under the direction of the Workers' Compensation Agent.
