The Board
of License Commissioners may employ one part-time secretary. Said
secretary shall receive such salary as the Municipal Council shall,
from time to time, establish by appropriate ordinance after considering
the recommendations of the Chairperson of the Board of License Commissioners
and the Mayor. Until this section is amended or repealed, the yearly
salary for said secretary shall consist of $5,200.
The duties
of said secretary shall be to process applications, type licenses
and special permits, type all correspondence, collect renewal and
new license fees, maintain and keep up-to-date records, accept all
telephone inquiries, accept and send out mail, prepare vouchers, attend
weekly Board meetings, and otherwise perform such duties as specified
by the Chairperson.
