As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
LAWN CARE
The commercial practice of the care and maintenance of lawns.
TREE SPRAYING
The commercial practice of spraying trees for the purpose
of tree maintenance.
Any company which is required by law to submit to the New Jersey
Department of Environmental Protection a list of any and all hazardous
substances on its premises or in its possession may submit to the
Township Health Officer a copy of the form or list of hazardous substances
which it has submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental
Protection, and such submission may be in lieu of submitting a registration
form and shall comply with the registration provision of this chapter.
Such a document shall be treated as confidential, in the same manner
as set forth herein for registration forms.
This chapter shall not apply to any company which does not spray
or treat lawns with any substances and whose lawn-care practice is
limited to trimming, cutting, pruning and similar activities.

Violations of this chapter shall be punished by a fine of not
less than $5 nor more than $500. Every separate day of violation shall
be considered a separate and distinct offense.
