Hours of operation of the transfer station will be set by the Mayor and available from the DPW or Town website. The Town reserves the right to change hours to increase efficiency and decrease the cost of operation. The station is closed on Sundays, Mondays and all legal holidays.
The Department of Public Works attendants are in control of the transfer station operation and are authorized to report all violators of these regulations and all persons who fail to obey their instructions.
Those persons failing to follow regulations and instructions of the attendants shall forfeit their privilege to use the transfer station for up to one year after the occurrence of the violation.

Deliveries to the transfer station are to be in compliance with the materials and pricing guide set forth by the DPW and approved by the Mayor. Copies are available from the DPW and are on the Town website.
The Mayor shall maintain and periodically update a list of acceptable disposal items, with corresponding prices.
All materials delivered must be completely covered and secured.
No salvaging of materials is allowed except for specified items placed in designated area and by written permission from the Director.
No persons other than employees are allowed into the transfer station building unless special approval is granted.
No smoking, open fires, or burning is permitted within the transfer station site.
No use of firearms is permitted.
Disposal of any waste material outside of the fence or on the roadways is strictly prohibited.
Violators of any of these regulations will be prosecuted.
