The business license tax/franchise fee on gross receipts from
electric utility service set forth in Ordinance No. 740 adopted on
December 14, 1992, is and shall be maintained at five percent (5%)
and shall extend to and be continued at the same rate for any renewal
of the franchise granted in Ordinance No. 740 and to all future franchises
granted by the City for the provision of electric utility service
within the City. Pursuant to Section 393.275, RSMo., this five-percent
rate shall be maintained without reduction, notwithstanding any periodic
fluctuations in the tariffs of such utility corporations or any notice
thereof, including, but not limited to, notice sent under Section
393.275, RSMo.
