No person shall make or cause to be made any loud, disturbing
or unnecessary sounds or noises such as may tend to annoy or disturb
a person of ordinary sensibilities in or about any public street,
alley or park or any private residence.
No person shall operate a motor vehicle so as to cause the tires
to squeal, the horn to blow excessively or the motor to race excessively.
No person shall use or operate any public address (PA) system,
amplifier or device which increases the volume of voice, music or
other sounds so loud as to disturb the public peace or the quiet and
peacefulness of the neighborhood.
Except for emergencies, between the hours of 9:00 p.m. to 6:00
a.m., no person shall operate any loud vehicles, residential lawn
mowers, chain saws or any other loud machinery.
Any person, firm or corporation found guilty of violating this chapter shall be punishable as set forth in §
1-2 of the Code. Each day of violation continues shall constitute a separate violation.
