As authorized by New York Real Property Tax Law §§ 458
and 458-a, as amended by Chapter 171 of the Laws of 1997, the Village
of South Nyack is hereby extending the real property tax exemption
currently enjoyed by veteran homeowners to those veterans owning shares
in cooperative apartments.

As authorized by Subdivision 2(d)(ii) of § 458-a of
the Real Property Tax Law, the Village of South Nyack hereby increases
the maximum exemption allowable in Subdivision 2(a), (b) and (c) to
$36,000, $24,000 and $120,000, respectively.
