This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Grading
Ordinance."
This chapter is adopted in accordance with the authority granted
to municipalities to regulate grading, excavation, and fill operations
under the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, Act 247 of 1968,
as amended by Act 170 of 1991 and otherwise (53 P.S. § 10101
et seq.). The Borough shall have the power, by resolution or otherwise,
to adopt such reasonable regulations hereunder, attach such appendices,
certificates and exhibits hereto, and amend such regulations, appendices,
certificates and exhibits as it deems necessary to assist in the implementation
of this chapter and in furtherance of its purposes.
