[HISTORY: Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Browntown 12-20-2007 by Ord. No. 2007-12-18. Amendments noted where applicable.]
This chapter is adopted pursuant to the general police powers granted under § 61.34, Wis. Stats. The Browntown Park Board is hereby granted the authority to regulate the use of the Browntown Community Park and its equipment.
The full intent of this chapter is to provide the use and enjoyment of the park for all residents in a safe environment, with fees charged for replacement costs of equipment and to discourage damage by vandals.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PARK BOARD
An advisory group whose members are appointed by the Village Board.[1]
SHELTER HOUSE
A permanently covered area within the Village park.

A. 
The Browntown Village Board will appoint a Park Board to oversee the events at the park.
(1) 
The Park Board shall meet regularly.
(2) 
The Village Board shall retain control over use of all equipment purchased by the Village.
(3) 
A fee to be determined by the Village Board will be charged to reserve the shelter houses. The fee to be charged for the park rental will be set forth in the Village's fee schedule, which will be adopted by resolution.[1] The deposit must be paid in advance to the secretary of the Park Board.

B. 
The Public Works Superintendent will oversee the maintenance of the park.

C. 
No solicitation will be allowed on Village Park property unless it is part of a Village Board-approved function.
D. 
Users shall remove or properly dispose of garbage and trash before they leave the park.
E. 
Various groups with the consent and approval of the Park Board may use the park lights.
F. 
Picnic tables will not be rented, lent out, or removed from the property.
G. 
Park hours shall be from 7:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m. except for special events approved by the Village Board, such as but not limited to Summerfest. This curfew is in consideration of nearby residents, so as not to disturb them at unreasonable hours.
H. 
Vehicles will be confined to the designated parking areas, with the exception of Village vehicles.
I. 
No motorized vehicles will be allowed in grassy or playground areas. Exceptions:
(1) 
Village vehicles.
(2) 
Special event vehicles.
(3) 
Motorized wheelchairs for disabled use.
(4) 
Emergency vehicles.
J. 
No pig roasts shall be allowed in the park, and no fires except in grills.
K. 
Dogs shall be allowed in Browntown Village Park. All dogs must be always on a leash no longer than six feet, and under owner's control. Dogs shall be licensed by the Village, and tags maybe purchased from the Village Clerk with proof of current rabies vaccination. Any pet owner who fails to control their pet, creates public nuisance, or disturbs others may be asked to leave. All pet waste must be picked up and disposed of in garbage receptacles. Bags, scoops, or other implements for the removal of pet waste must be carried by any person bringing a pet onto park property. Dogs must not dig, chase, or harm wildlife, damage park property, or interfere with other Park users.[2]

L. 
Alcohol beverages and the distribution thereof is the liability of the renter, and alcohol beverages cannot be sold without obtaining a liquor license from the Village of Browntown Clerk prior to the event.[3]

This chapter shall be revised, if necessary, to include further restrictions or establish new guidelines for park use.
To the extent allowed by law, damage by vandals shall result in charges equal to the damaged money value, plus replacement time or damaged article restitution, or hours of service to be done as restitution in the park.
