The Board of Appeals for Delaware Township shall be the Hunterdon
County Board of Appeals.

A. The fee for a construction permit shall be the sum of the subcode
fees listed as follows, where applicable, and shall be paid before
a permit is issued. As per U.C.C. 5:23-4.20 there shall be an additional
fee of $45 per hour for plan review of any amendment or change to
a plan that has already been issued.
(1) Schedule 1: Building Subcode Fees.
(a)
Minimum fees. The minimum fee covering any building work shall
be $55.
(b)
New construction and additions.

Fees for new construction shall be based upon the volume of
the structure. Volume shall be computed in accordance with N.J.A.C.
5:23 — 2.28. The new construction fee shall be in the amount
of $0.038 per cubic foot of volume for buildings and structures of
all groups and types of construction as classified and defined in
Chapters 3 and 6, respectively, of the building subcode;

The fee shall be $0.021 per cubic foot of volume for groups
A-1, A-2, A-3, A-4, A-5, F-1, F-2, S-1, and S-2, and the fee shall
be $0.0011 per cubic foot for structures on farms, including commercial
farm buildings under N.J.A.C. 5:23-3.2(d), with the maximum fee for
such structures on farms not to exceed $1,602.

For purposes of calculating the volume to determine the fee
for large, open-volume, single-story spaces in buildings, such as
barns, silos, greenhouses, warehouses, distribution centers, and other
agricultural and storage-use occupancies, the height shall be limited
to 20 feet, notwithstanding the fact that the actual height of the
space may be greater than 20 feet.
(c)
Renovations, alterations and repairs.

[a] Costs of $0 to $50,000: $15.

[a] Roofs, siding and fences (over six feet) flat fee:

(f)
No fee is required for "ordinary repairs" as the term is defined
by regulations promulgated by the State of New Jersey.
(g)
The fee for the combination of renovations and additions shall
be computed separately.
(2) Schedule II: Plumbing Subcode Fees.
(a)
Minimum fees. The minimum fee covering any plumbing work shall
be $55.
(b)
Miscellaneous fixtures or devices. Each plumbing fixture or
device except as stated below: $15.
(c)
Fixtures or devices. Special devices for grease traps, oil separators,
water cooled a/c units, sewer ejectors, domestic steam boilers, active
solar systems, utility service connections, and backflow preventers:
$65.
(d)
Fixtures or stacks (each). For the purpose of computing, this
fee shall include but not be limited to lavatories, kitchen sinks,
tubs, shower stalls, floor drains, sinks, slop sinks, urinals, drinking
fountains, hose bibs, water closets, roof drains, garbage disposals,
or similar devices: $15.
(e)
Annual inspection. Backflow preventers and cross connections
that are subject to annual testing and inspection: $65.
(3) Schedule III: Electrical subcode fees.
(a)
Minimum fees. The minimum fee covering any electrical work shall
be $55.
(b)
Switches, fixtures, receptacles.

Each 25 additional devices: $15.

Included in fixtures: Burglar alarms, intercoms, smoke/carbon
monoxide detectors, thermostats, signs, light standards.

Transformers and generators.

[c] For purpose of computing fees, typical electrical
devices are listed below and the proper kilowatt rating must be noted
on the application so that the proper fee can be assessed. This typical
list is not all-inclusive: dishwasher: 1.2 kw; water heater: 4.5 kw;
electric dryer: 5 kw; range: 8 kw; baseboard heater: 2.5 kw.
(4) Schedule IV: Fire subcode fees.
(a)
The minimum fee. The minimum fee for any Fire Subcode work shall
be $55.
(b)
Storage Tanks all types (install, removal, or abandonment).

install, furnace install/replacement. The minimum fee for mechanical
work shall be $110.
(b)

(6) Schedule VI: Certificates.
(a)
Flat fees.

to N.J.A.C. 5:23-4.20.

Training fees will be charged in accordance with N.J.A.C. 5:23-4.19.
(11)
Premanufactured construction fees charged in accordance with
N.J.A.C. 5:18(c).
The establishment of fire limits pursuant to N.J.A.C. 5:23 is
reserved and shall be further established by amendment to this chapter
on or before July 1, 1977, or on such date as may hereafter be established.
