A.
Preamble. Certain federal funds are potentially available to the
County under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act
of 1974, as amended, commonly known as the Community Development Block
Grant Program.
It is necessary to establish a legal basis for the County and
its people to benefit from this program.
An agreement has been proposed under which the Township of Plumsted
and the County of Ocean in cooperation with other municipalities will
establish an Interlocal Services Program pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:8A-1,
et seq.
It is in the best interest of the Township of Plumsted to enter
into such an agreement.
B.
Agreement executed by the Mayor and Township Clerk. Be it ordained
by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Plumsted, County
of Ocean, State of New Jersey, that an agreement for the establishment
of a cooperative means of conducting Community Development Activities,
a copy of which shall be kept on file with the Township Clerk in accordance
with the provisions of law.
A.
Preamble. The Interlocal Services Act, N.J.S.A. 40:8A-1, et seq.,
authorizes the Township of Plumsted to enter into a contract for the
provision of certain governmental services with the County of Ocean;
and N.J.S.A. 40:8A-4 requires such a contract to be authorized by
ordinance. It is the desire of the Mayor and Township Committee of
the Township of Plumsted to authorize the execution of a contract
with the County of Ocean for the provision of Animal Control Facility
services, Health Department, Bureau of Fire Safety, and Schedule C
Agreements for streets and roads.
B.
Copies of the aforementioned agreements shall be kept on file with
the Township Clerk in accordance with the provisions of law.
