[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township of Raritan 10-11-2000 by Ord. No. 00-27 as Ch. 17.44 of the 2000 Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The licensing year shall run from January 1 to December 31. All license fees required to be paid pursuant to any Raritan Township Board of Health ordinance shall cover the balance of the licensing year during which the licensing fee is paid, except that all licensing fees paid for permanent retail food establishments shall be paid during the month of December immediately prior to the licensing year commencing on January 1 of the following year.
Unless otherwise set forth by specific ordinance, all application, license or permit fees as well as any penalties set forth in any Raritan Township Board of Health ordinance shall be payable to the Secretary of the Raritan Township Board of Health.

The application, license and permit fee schedule for the Raritan Township Board of Health is fixed as follows:
A. 
Individual subsurface sewage disposal system. For the filing of an application and issuance of a permit: $35.
B. 
Individual potable water supply; well permit. Construction of new water supply: $40.

C. 
Retail food establishment license.
(1) 
Permanent establishments. If the permanent food establishment license fee is not paid in the month of December, preceding the year for which the license is to be issued, there shall be an additional charge of $50.

(a) 
Newsstands, pharmacies, liquor stores, video stores and other establishments handling commercially prepared, prepackaged, non-potentially-hazardous foods as an incidental part of their business: $150.
(b) 
Agricultural markets (where there is no food preparation) where potentially hazardous foods are offered for sale or where grocery food items account for 50% or more of the sales area: $150.
(c) 
All other retail food establishments: $250.
(d) 
Supermarkets with gross annual sales in excess of $100,000: $350.
(2) 
Temporary food establishments.
(a) 
Temporary food establishments in excess of three days: $160.
(b) 
Temporary food establishments of three days or less: $110.
D. 
Public swimming pool license fee: $25.
E. 
Marriage and remarriage license, civil union and domestic partnership application fee: $28.

F. 
Burial and removal permits: $5.

Permeability and soil log testing.

Witness fee: $200 per day, minimum of two days (includes two soil logs and two permeability tests). If additional day(s) is required, see below for additional fees.

Additional work.
(a) 
Each additional day: $200.

Each additional pit bail or basin flood: $50.
(d) 
Each additional permeability test: $50.
