Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 200 of the Laws of 1971,[1] there is hereby created the office of Municipal Tax Collector.

Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 384 of the Laws of 1979,[1] the office of Municipal Tax Collector shall be filled by appointment as provided by law.

The term of the Municipal Tax Collector shall be four years from the first day of January next following such appointment.
The Municipal Tax Collector shall perform such duties as are assigned from time to time by the Mayor or Council.
The salary of the Municipal Tax Collector shall be as fixed by the annual Salary Ordinance of the Borough of Neptune City,[1] additional fees to be approved by the Council.
