Borough of Neptune City, NJ Article IV Use of Public Sewers Required

§ 107-8 Use of Public Sewers Required.

A. It shall be unlawful to discharge to any natural outlet within the Borough of Neptune City or in any area under the jurisdiction of the Borough of Neptune City, any wastewater or/other non-potable waters, except where suitable treatment has been provided in accordance with subsequent provisions of this chapter.

B. Except as hereinafter provided, it shall be unlawful to construct or maintain any privy, privy vault, septic tank, cesspool, or other facility intended or used for the disposal of wastewater.

C. It shall be unlawful for any person to place, deposit or permit to be deposited in any unsanitary manner on public or private property within the Borough of Neptune City or in any area under the jurisdiction of the Township of Neptune Sewerage Authority, any human or animal excrement, garbage or objectionable waste.

D. All connections directly or indirectly to the local, municipal sanitary sewer lines, for sump pumps, roof leaders, area way drains, swimming pools, ornamental ponds, water cooled refrigeration and air conditioning units, fire sprinkler systems and any other similar connections, are prohibited.
