The Board of Trustees of the Village of Bloomfield has determined
that public utility services (electric, gas, water, sewer, telephone),
postage, debt service, freight and express charges may be necessary
to be paid for prior to the next regularly scheduled meeting of the
Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees authorizes prepayment in advance of the
audit of claims for public utility services (electric, gas, water,
sewer, telephone), postage, debt service, freight and express charges.

In the event of unusual circumstances or an emergency as determined
by the Mayor, the Clerk/Treasurer will be granted the authority to
pay all outstanding claims of the Village of Bloomfield in advance
of the audit of claims, prior to or in lieu of the Board of Trustees
meeting. The Mayor will cosign all checks after having reviewed the
vouchers.
All such claims will be presented to the Board of Trustees at
the next regular meeting for audit.
The claimant and the officer incurring or approving the same
shall be jointly and severally liable for the amount disallowed by
the Board of Trustees.
