"Emergency" work is that which is necessary for the protection
of public health, or for the safety, repair, or restoration of property,
or for the protection of the environmental interests set forth in
the Sherborn Wetlands Regulations.
No work beyond that necessary to abate the emergency will be allowed
without the permission of the Commission. Work necessary to carry
out subsequent repairs will be done in accordance with the requirements
of the Sherborn Bylaw and Regulations. The agent or a Commissioner
will be informed of the emergency work as soon as possible.
In no case will any removal, filling, dredging, or alteration authorized
by such certification extend beyond the time necessary to abate the
emergency.
