A. 
An antisiphon trap shall be used when it is impracticable to vent and only at the discretion and with the approval of the Plumbing Inspector.
B. 
Each fixture shall be separately trapped by an approved trap, placed as close to the fixture as possible.
C. 
All traps must be approved by the Plumbing Inspector.
A. 
Any gas appliance which has been adjudged hazardous as to construction or installation by the Plumbing Inspector shall, upon notice to the owner or user thereof, be placed in a safe condition or its use discontinued. All water-heater installations shall have the approval of the Plumbing Inspector.
B. 
No water heaters shall be placed in bathrooms. No water heater shall be installed in bathrooms, bedrooms or any occupied rooms normally kept closed.
C. 
All installations shall be made in accordance with the current American Standard "Installation of Gas Piping and Gas Appliances in Buildings" (ASAZ 21.30) and National Fire Protection Association Pamphlet No. 52, entitled "Liquefied Petroleum Gas Piping and Appliance Installation in Buildings."
D. 
Temperature relief. Combination pressure and temperature-relief valves conforming to the requirements of "American Standard Listing Requirements for Relief and Automatic Gas Shutoff Valves for use on Water Heating Systems" (ASAZ 21.22) shall be installed on the hot-water storage tank.
E. 
Room heaters and recessed heaters with input ratings in excess of 5,000 BTU per hour shall be equipped with an automatic pilot and shall be connected to an effective flue.
F. 
Gas refrigerators shall not be installed in bathrooms, bedrooms or any occupied room normally kept closed.
