Village of Potsdam, NY Article V Theft of Services

§ 142-8 Theft of services.

Any person who shall place any amount of material in another person's container to avoid a valid charge for this service shall be guilty of theft of services. Scavenging of any recyclable material shall also be considered a theft of services.

§ 142-9 Penalties for offenses.

Theft of services shall be punishable by a fine of up to $50 for the first offense and by a fine of up to $150 for each subsequent offense and/or incarceration of up to 15 days for each conviction.
