There is hereby created the position of Superintendent of the Sewage Disposal Plant of the Town of West New York.
A. 
The duties of the said Superintendent shall be as follows:
(1) 
Supervise operations of the Sewage Treatment Plant.
(2) 
Direct subordinates in operation and maintenance.
(3) 
Maintain records.
(4) 
Prepare monthly report for the State Department of Health.
(5) 
Prepare work schedules, payroll time sheets, and vacation schedules.
(6) 
Order materials for operation and maintenance of the plant.
(7) 
Operate Sewage Treatment Plant in accordance with New Jersey State Department of Health Standards.
B. 
He must be capable of operating each unit of equipment including chlorinator, grit removal equipment, flow meters, clarifiers, sludge pumps, chemical feeders, sludge conditioners, vacuum filters, filtrate pumps, vacuum pumps, sludge incineration equipment, heating and cooling equipment, electric motors and all other equipment necessary for a proper operation of the Sewage Treatment Plant.
C. 
He must make necessary sewage and sludge analysis to determine quantities of chemicals for proper treatment.

The said Superintendent of the Sewage Treatment Plant shall be appointed by the Director of the Department of Parks and Public Property.

The executive, administrative, judicial and legislative powers and duties relating to the Superintendent of the Sewage Treatment Plant as aforesaid are hereby assigned to and distributed in the Department of Parks and Public Property.
