Town of West New York, NJ Article XII Assistant Superintendent of Public Works

§ 69-49 Position created.

There is hereby created the position of Assistant Superintendent of Public Works of the Town of West New York.

§ 69-50 Duties.

The duties of the said Assistant Superintendent of Public Works shall be as follows:

A. Assist in the supervision of street cleaning and repairing, sewer maintenance and related work.

B. Give suitable assignments and instructions to individuals and groups and supervise their work.

C. Obtain, store, safeguard and supervise the proper use of needed equipment, materials and supplies.

D. Keep necessary records and files.

§ 69-51 Power of appointment.

The said Assistant Superintendent of Public Works shall be appointed by the Director of the Department of Public Works.

§ 69-52 Department assignment.

The executive, administrative, judicial and legislative powers and duties relating to the Assistant Superintendent of Public Works as aforesaid are hereby assigned to and distributed in the Department of Public Works.
