There is hereby created the position of Superintendent of Public Works of the Town of West New York.
The duties of the said Superintendent of Public Works shall be as follows:
A. 
Take charge of maintenance and repair of streets and sewers.
B. 
Supervise groups engaged in picking up trash and debris and also street cleaners.
C. 
Take charge of semiannual cleaning of sewers.
D. 
Take charge of ordering all materials used in cleaning and repairing streets.
E. 
Maintain time records for personnel.
F. 
Coordinate and implement all recycling programs of the Town of West New York.

G. 
Implement and enforce West New York's Recycling Ordinance and Litter Ordinance.[1]

H. 
Develop programs for public education regarding recycling programs and recycling laws.

The executive, administrative, judicial and legislative powers and duties relating to the position of Superintendent of Public Works as aforesaid, are hereby assigned to and distributed in the Department of Public Works.
The said Superintendent of Public Works shall be appointed by the Director of the Department of Public Works.

The range of salary of said Superintendent of Public Works shall be as established by ordinance.
