WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Town of West New York to create position of Assistant Director of the Department of Public Works;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the Town of West New York as follows:
There is hereby created the position of Assistant Director of the Department of Public Works of the Town of West New York.
The duties of said Assistant Director of the Department of Public Works shall be as follows:
A. 
To assist the Director in the day-to-day affairs of the Department.
B. 
Subject to the authority of the Commissioner, to supervise all departments under the Department of Public Works.
C. 
To advise the Commissioner on employee evaluation, distribution and acquisition of equipment and allocation of person and assets.
D. 
To advise the Commissioner on matters of budget, policy, personnel, planning and any other matters assigned by the Commissioner.
Said Assistant Director of the Department of Public Works shall be appointed by the Commissioner of the Department of Public Works.
The salary of the Assistant Director of the Department of Public Works shall be as set forth in the Salary Ordinance.[1]
