There shall be established by the Township Council rules and
regulations for the operation of the Department, which shall set forth
the means for the public to make application for and use of water
in the Township of Mount Olive and shall provide for standards of
construction, maintenance and operation of the water supply and distribution
system and any additions thereto.
There shall be promulgated by the Township Council a Water and
Sewer Master Plan which shall set forth the current and future water
and sewer needs of the Township. The plan shall be promulgated not
less than one year after adoption of the Master Plan by the Planning
Board. Said plan shall be updated periodically, but not less than
every five years.
A.
The construction of all extensions and alterations to the Township
water system shall be in accordance with the standards of the American
Water Works Association, as amended from time to time, and shall be
set forth in the rules and regulations of the Department and be subject
to inspection and approval by the Water and Sewer Supervisor or his
agent or any superior governmental agency having jurisdiction.
B.
The construction of all new systems, extensions and alterations to
private water systems within the Township shall be in accordance with
the standards of the American Water Works Association, as amended
from time to time, and set forth in the rules and regulations of the
Township Water Department and shall be subject to inspection and approval
by the Township Engineer.
