As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PROPERTY
All public and private real property in the Township of Ridley.
SET
The setting up, placing, depositing or leaving of any trap on any property.
TRAP
Any device which is commonly used to snare or kill beaver, otter, fisher, mink, muskrat, skunk or raccoon, including but not limited to conibear and leghold traps.
No person shall set a trap in any property within the Township of Ridley.

Any person violating this article shall, upon conviction in a summary case before a District Justice, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $1,000, together with the cost of prosecution, and in default of of payment of such fine and costs shall be imprisoned for a period not to exceed 30 days. Furthermore, said persons shall forfeit any traps used in violations of this article.
The Police Department of the Township of Ridley is hereby authorized and directed to seize and confiscate any traps being used in violation of this article.
