No commercial trash collector shall operate
within the Township without first receiving a permit for commercial
trash collection from the Township Manager.

Said permit shall be issued upon completion
of an application form and upon payment of the permit fee in the sum
as set from time to time by resolution of the Board of Commissioners.
Application forms may be obtained from the Township Manager. The permit
fee for any permits issued after the 31st day of July of any calendar
year shall be in the sum as set from time to time by resolution of
the Board of Commissioners.
An application for a commercial trash collection
permit shall not be considered complete until the applicant provides
the Township Manager with a written list of all his commercial customers
within the Township and an insurance certificate showing liability
insurance coverage on all his vehicles with minimum limits of $100,000
and $300,000 for both property damage and personal injury.
All commercial trash collection permits shall
become null and void on the 31st day of December of each year.
The Township Manager shall keep a list of all
the commercial trash collection permits issued each year and shall
deliver a copy of said list to the Police Department of the Township
of Ridley to aid in the enforcement of this article.
Any person, firm or corporation which shall operate as a commercial trash collector within the Township and without a commercial collection permit as provided for in this article shall be issued a warning citation for the first offense. Any further offenses by the same person, firm or corporation shall be punished in accordance with §
253-13.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any
provisions in this article shall, upon summary conviction before any
District Justice, pay a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $1,000,
and costs of prosecution, and in default of payment of fine and costs,
the violator may be imprisoned in the county jail for not more than
30 days. Each and every day which any person, firm or corporation
shall be in violation of this article shall constitute a separate
offense.
