As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
HEAVY TRASH
Those large household items generated from single family dwelling units which cannot properly be contained in a standard size residential trash container. These items include but are not limited to refrigerators, stoves, water heaters, washing machines dryers and other larger appliances and furniture.
Heavy trash shall be collected and disposed of by the Township pursuant to the rules and regulations established by the Township Manager. These rules and regulations will encompass the manner, materials, number of annual pickups and costs, if any, and other matters required to implement this article. The Township Manager may change, modify, repeal or amend any said portion of said regulations at any time.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any provisions in this article shall, upon summary conviction before any District Justice, pay a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $1,000, and costs of prosecution. In default of payment of the fine and costs, the violator may be sentenced to the county jail for a term of not more than 30 days. Each and every day which any person, firm or corporation shall be in violation of this article shall constitute a separate offense.
