The Township of Ridley is hereby divided into districts of different types, each being of such number, shape, kind and area and of such common unity of purpose and adaptability of use deemed most suitable to carry out the purpose of this chapter.
A. 
For the purposes of this chapter, the Township of Ridley is divided into the following zoning districts:

General Commercial District

A. 
The boundaries of the above districts are delivered on a map entitled "Ridley Township Zoning Map" which accompanies and which, with all explanatory matter thereon, is hereby made a part of this chapter.
B. 
Furthermore, all land which is not classified and made part of one of the Districts set forth in § 325-8 as of the date of the enactment of this amendment, including but not limited to the land in the right-of-way of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad tracks and the Philadelphia, Baltimore & Washington Railroad tracks is hereby classified B Residential.
C. 
However, there are several parcels of land existing within the Railroad right-of-way which appear unzoned on the Ridley Township Zoning Map but which were previously zoned and never designated as such on the map. These parcels shall retain whatever zoning classification they previously had obtained and shall not be affected by this present zoning amendment.
Unless otherwise provided by law or in this chapter, no building, structure or land in each district shall be used or occupied except for the express purpose applicable thereto. Uses, structures and lots existing at the time of passage of this chapter and not in full compliance with the provisions of this chapter shall comply with the applicable provisions of Article XV.
Where uncertainty exists with respect to the boundaries of a district as indicated on the Zoning Map, the following rules shall apply:
A. 
Where district boundaries are indicated as approximately coinciding with the center lines of streets, highways, railroad lines or streams, such center lines shall be construed to be such boundaries.
B. 
Where district boundaries are so indicated that they are approximately parallel to center lines of streets and highways, such district boundaries shall be construed as parallel thereto and at such distances therefrom as indicated on the Zoning Map.
