Whenever any words or phrases are used in this
article, the meanings respectively ascribed to them in Subtitle 1
of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey shall be deemed
to apply to such words and phrases used herein.

It shall be deemed unlawful to park any vehicle,
at any time, upon any of the following designated public streets or
portions thereof in the Borough of Allendale:
A.
North side of Brookside Avenue, from West Crescent
Avenue to Ramsey Brook.
B.
Both sides of West Crescent Avenue, from Allendale
Avenue to Hillside Avenue.
C.
West side of West Crescent Avenue, from Hillside Avenue
to Brookside Avenue.
D.
North side of West Orchard Street, from Franklin Turnpike
to Memorial Drive.
E.
Both sides of Hillside Avenue, from a point 300 feet
north of the northern curbline of Forest Avenue to a point 900 feet
west of Forest Road.

signs when weather conditions, accidents, fires or public celebrations
dictate or require the avoidance of hazards or other conditions which
interfere with the free flow of traffic. Notification that the emergency
no-parking signs are being or will be posted shall be given to the

It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle parked
on any public street in the Borough of Allendale to have visible thereon
any sign, lettering or other communication offering the same for sale
or rental.
It shall be unlawful to cause any repairs to
be made to any vehicle while the same is upon any public street in
the Borough of Allendale, except such as are reasonably necessary
to repair a specific defect which has caused the vehicle to become
immobilized and which will remove such impediment to permit removal
of said vehicle from the public street.
No person shall park or leave standing a vehicle,
whether attended or unattended, in any of the municipally owned or
operated parking areas or plazas, unless said vehicle shall be parked
within the spaces designated by the marks or signs on the pavement.

Any person convicted of a violation of a provision
of this article or any supplement thereto or amendment thereof shall
be subject to a fine not to exceed $50 or imprisonment for a term
not to exceed 15 days, or both, at the discretion of the Judge before
whom such person may be convicted.

This article shall take effect upon passage
and publication as provided by law and upon approval in writing by
the Department of Transportation of the State of New Jersey, as provided
by N.J.S.A. 39:4-8, and as the same concerns the County of Bergen
by certain of those streets which may, if necessary, require the consent
of the Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Bergen.[1]
