A. 
No person shall conduct or maintain a boardinghouse, lodging house or hotel without first having obtained from the state a license therefore. No property owner shall suffer or allow the operation of a boardinghouse, lodging house or hotel unless same has been granted a state license therefore.
B. 
Any person or entity that violates the provisions of Subsection A of this section shall be liable to a fine of not more than $1,000, to a term of community service not to exceed 90 days and to a term of incarceration in the county jail not to exceed 90 days.
C. 
The violation of the provisions of this chapter shall constitute an offense separate, distinct and independent of the violation of any other ordinance or code of the Borough of Ridgefield.
D. 
A separate violation of this chapter shall accrue each and every day that a boardinghouse, lodging house or hotel is conducted, maintained or operated in violation of the provisions of this chapter.
